We are pleased to present the Mirage dinner dance, to be held on 14^th April 2012, at the very spacious Croatian Community Hall in Rocklea. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a fabulous night of music, food and dance. Our President, Niranjalie, has had such an enjoyable time dancing to Mirage’s music whilst in Sri Lanka that she had been a regular patron (!) at the Galadari Hotel in Colombo where Mirage is the resident band. You can also enjoy the cultural show and the traditional Sri Lankan sweetmeats that will be served as part of the New Year celebrations being conducted prior to the dance.

“Mirage” is one of Sri Lanka‘s most sought after bands with a style of its own since 1988. The band has been entertaining all types of audiences in commercial pop music, dance music, disco, blues, jazz, Acapella, R&B and the local favorites as well. The band has performed at weddings, dances, indoor and outdoor pop concerts, corporate functions, and most famous night clubs in Sri Lanka. For the past two years Mirage has been performing as the resident band at the Galadari Hotel’s Margarita Blue night club. The band has also been involved in various musical programs with leading private television channels in Sri Lanka.

Mirage has performed in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria for 3 years and in Dubai for 10 years, as the resident band at Novotel Hotel, UK, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and in Australia for major promotional activities and at Sri Lankan expatriate association dances in some of the countries mentioned.

Mirage’s debut CD album was launched in Dubai, UAE, in 1997, with a glamorous video with the Indian film actress, Deepthi Bhatnagar, for one of the hits songs titled “Why Did You Break My Heart”, which was aired on MTV, Channel “V”, Asia TV, All channel in UAE & on local channels.
